How Can You Help?

Christmas is coming and most are out shopping and spending their pay checks on that perfect gift for their kids and family members. But for many in our community this is a time of year where the temperatures go down and the heating bills go up. Many struggle this time of year just to make ends meet. At United Helping Hands we want to help lighten that load for those struggling.

How Can You Help? There are a couple different ways you can help with this mission.

1. Donate your used clothing, shoes, purses, coffee pot, book shelf, or anything else you no longer want or need. We take donations of all kinds. The profit made from your donation will go directly toward helping those in need this winter.

2. Shop in our store. You can find all brands and sizes of good used clothing in our store. The prices are low and the quality is high. Everything from winter coats to prom dresses to graduation gowns and everything in between. The money made from your purchase will help ease the burden for others.

Together we can and will make a difference in our community through your giving. May Christ be glorified and may His light shine out to our community.

Thankfulness

I know it's a bit late considering Thanksgiving has passed. But it's never too late to be thankful and show gratitude.

Here at United Helping Hands we are thankful for many things.  More than we can list but here are a few.

First and foremost, we are thankful for a loving Savior. We are thankful for a savior who died for our sins. For the grace and mercy He shows us every single day.

We are thankful for a ministry where we can help and make a difference in our community while showing the love of Christ.

We are thankful for all those who donate and for all those who volunteer their time.

We are thankful for the hard working employees who work diligently to keep the store running efficiently.

We are thankful for all of our customers who shop here. The money made from each item sold is used to make a difference in our community.

We are thankful. What are you thankful for?

5 Reasons You Should Shop at Helping Hands

5. It's quality items at an average of 60-90% off regular prices.

4. The money you save on clothes can be used to do other things you want to do such as take the kids to a movie, go to a concert or even give to your favorite charity.

3. It teaches your children the value of a dollar. With many in our society spending big money for brand name clothes, it shows that the amount you spend is not important and that there are more important things than spending $70 on a pair of jeans.

2.  You help out the community. All money made from sales go to helping our community with things such as utility bills or rent.

1. It's a local ministry serving others with the love of Christ. Be a part of helping spread the love of Christ by either donating items or purchasing items.
